The challenge

Our client, a global household brand in consumer and specialist technology, needed not just to establish the ‘size of prize’ for its specialist hand-held imaging equipment, but to devise an actionable, evidence-based strategy for delivering on the opportunities unearthed within the European health space.

Our solution

We measured the market opportunity by synthesizing learnings from secondary research and universe size models, and blending that data with business census counts, the  client’s own health sector sales and commercial data, and independent third-party intel about the health tech arena.

Once we’d gauged the size of this specialist health tech market and the key opportunities it presented, we modelled its potential value. Our team carried out a programme of 200 in-depth interviews with tech decision-makers and influential HCPs, based in hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies and home health service providers across Europe.

The outcome

We translated the insights and data, into key strategic decisions relating to the client’s specialist health tech portfolio. In addition to an over-arching opportunity map, we helped to pinpoint verticals, disciplines and European markets to target, in order to maximise share and profitability.
